DESCRIPTION:A cowboy with a talent to share\, and a man who is going for his dream. Randy Burghardt is a new upcoming Rocky Mountain Country Music artist from Cheyenne\, Wyoming. Originally from a small town called Fedora\, South Dakota where you went to the feed and small grocery store to get sarsaparillas and chuck-wagons with your younger brother and sister every Saturday\, and where Randy grew up on his family’s farm. At a young age Randy took piano lessons where his love of music began. Later on he began to play guitar and at 12 years old he started writing songs. Going to school 15 miles away\, Randy graduated from Howard High School where he was active in the music program\, and began playing in bands when he was 15 years old\, continuing to share his talent. After graduating from high school\, Randy attended college at SDSU majoring in Animal Science\, and began his own band; the Randy Burghardt Band. In 2012 he moved to the cowboy state of Wyoming where he continued his band\, which plays across the Midwest\, from the Rocky Mountains to the lower part of Colorado. Randy had the privilege of playing at 2016 CMA Fest in Nashville\, Tennessee where he got to showcase his music. His song Gate Opens Wide was his first radio single in 2015; was nominated for song of the year at the Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards in 2016\, and has hit the top 20 charts for several radio groups. His song Honkytonk Man has also hit top 20 charts and is a number one single.

DESCRIPTION:About the book:\nSEARCHING: WHEN SONGBIRDS CEASED TO SING shares the whys\, hows and whats that evolved when experiencing a traumatic year-long search for a missing aircraft and occupants. It was October 28th\, 1974 when brothers-in-law and the twin-engine Beechcraft Baron 414K they were piloting\, disappeared. The aircraft\, serving as an air hearse was on a return flight from Gallup\, NM. On board were a father and his two teenage daughters involved in a fatal car/train accident being transported to their hometown of Sturgis\, SD\, for burial. When they failed to arrive as scheduled\, Rapid City Flight Service issued a Missing Aircraft Alert to all surrounding airports. With no sightings or landings reported\, the alert broadened to include all airports in a six-state area\, and an extensive air search was actively underway. \nIntertwined throughout the story are shared memories from a secure past. Backtracking in time served as an invaluable coping tool when faced with daily uncertainty\, helplessness\, apprehension and fear of the unknown. The story was written in honor of Roger Hlavka and Dewey Rathke. Special acknowledgement is given to Oliver Lane\, Odessa\, TX.\, Sheriff Judd Cooney\, psychic Peter Hurkos and to each of the hundreds of friends and strangers who helped in any way with the search\, deepest appreciation!

DESCRIPTION:Meat Pie cook-off and bake sale fundraiser. Prepare your best meat pie (chicken pot pie\, shepherds pie\, etc.) and bring it to the brewery between 1-2 p.m. for judging (popular vote) and a chance to win a prize and bragging rights. We are also asking those who don’t want to make a meat pie but wish to contribute to the fundraiser to bring any type of baked goods for a silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will go towards paying for Spearfish High School student travel expenses to Washington D.C. for the We The People competition. Meat pie winner will be announced at 4 p.m. and silent auction winners will be announced at 5 p.m. Then stick around for some great music provided by Dan Mahar.
